St. David Kneeler
This kneeler is made from Cherry wood and entirely with hand tools: axe, saw and plane. It is finished with linseed oil and beeswax. The design of kneeler is based on medieval and monastic patterns. The stretcher across the middle is joined by tusk tenons in which are inserted keys or wedges. On the top rest we carve four Jerusalem Crosses that symbolize the 5 wounds of Jesus. We nail the top rest on with traditional forged nails made in France. The kneeling rest folds up so that it may be conveniently stored.
Because wood is a natural material and every board varies slightly in appearance the look of each kneeler will vary slightly. These kneeler is made to order. Please allow 4-8 weeks for production. Shipping costs $150
Named in honor of the royal prophet, who upon being rebuked by God through the prophet Nathan, humbled himself before God, confessed his sin, and entrusted himself to the Mercy of the Lord.
