Traditional Monastic Woodwork
Weclome to our shop
We are monks of a small, new Roman Catholic monastic community called Mission of Divine Mercy.
With traditional tools, methods, and designs (many of which St. Joseph would have used) we work wood into useful items of the monastic tradition that will last a lifetime.
All our work is done entirely by hand and with hand tools. Every stool, cross, or tabernacle bears the irregularities and facets made by the hand of man with axe, knife, and chisel, as well as the glassy smooth finish of a sharpened plane iron.
